Songwriter, Singer, Publisher, Composer, Pianist, Author and Founder of ASKM Publishing
A’Ishah Songstress is an independent songwriter, singer, music publisher, composer, pianist, author and she is also the founder of ASKM Publishing. A’Ishah has loved and adored music all of her life. Her first love is RnB music. A’Ishah has been singing since the age of 9 years old. She’s been writing songs since the age of 13 years old, which is also the age where she began to study the business side of music. A’Ishah Songstress was inspired to start ASKM Publishing due to the fact that she got tired of getting turned down by A&R executives in the music industry when she would shop her song demos. She decided to combine her love for music and her knowledge of the business and create her own company. Her vision is to give indie artists a platform and opportunity to bring their artistry to life while being apart of the ASKM Publishing family. A’Ishah also studied classical voice and piano since the age of 16 under voice teacher Tatyana Mykhaylova at the Nelly Burman School of Music. She’s currently a student of legendary vocal coach and master vocalist Sherry Wilson Butler, and also a member of the Philadelphia Clef Jazz Club. A’Ishah Songstress musical influences are Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Motown, Lauryn Hill, Tupac Shakur, Smokey Robinson, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Prince, Stephanie Mills, Aaliyah, Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, New Edition, TLC, Monica, Destiny’s Child, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera.
Delvonnie Stephens is a 26 year old songwriter based in Cincinnati, OH. According to the writer “I’ve been writing lyrics for ten years, starting as poetry. I like various genres of music from Pop to Hip-Hop/Rap. Music has power to control emotion. My writing ability is my heart and pride. I’m here to entertain the world. I’m influenced by 11:11, Sinead Harnett, Brian McKnight, Babyface, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Aaliyah, Backstreet Boys, *Nsync, 98 Degrees, etc. My goal is to write for industry artists and make hits.
